Free Church Resources to celebrate Work as Worship on Labor Day Sunday

Guest Post from Bill Peel at the Center for Faith & Work at LeTourneau - We've noticed an increasing disconnect between the local church and career business people in the workplace. Too many of these believers simply stopped going to church.

Why? Working people often feel like they live dual lives-one at work and one outside of work. The church can help people bridge this gap between faith and work. In a research project commissioned by the Center for faith & Work we found that a majority of pastors say they want to help their members integrate faith and work, but many of these pastors are already overwhelmed. In fact, less than half of churchgoing, employed Christians "strongly agree" that their church helps them live out faith at work.

That's why the Center for Faith & Work and The High Calling have partnered to create free resources to help churches-from downloadable videos to small group curriculum to sermon outlines and ongoing ministry support.

Your church can take a stand this Labor Day weekend-whether you simply lead a prayer that celebrates work or use all of the free resources on LaborDaySunday.com to assemble a special commissioning service for Christians in the workplace. Commit to helping your church integrate faith and work by sharing LaborDaySunday.com with your church leaders. Labor Day Sunday is a perfect opportunity, but so is any other Sunday-because Monday always follows.

Visit LaborDaySunday.com to download these resources for free. We appreciate you and your work, and God does too!
